City church is a relatively young church by comparison to some in this community. Born in the late 1970s when music groups and pastors visiting from the USA connected with the local Christian music scene and started small bible study groups and fellowship meetings in Belfast and Lisburn.

Growing from there, City Church moved to the university area in the early 90’s and has always attracted young families, students and people from all walks of life who are keen to engage with their community and make their faith relevant. 

Over the years City church has had four pastors and is currently pastored by Malcolm Morgan and his wife Trish. Malc and Trish joined the church in January 2008 after relocating from Johannesburg S.Africa.  They are no strangers to City Church having worshipped here in the early 90’s when they lived in Belfast for 3 years.

Malc leads a team of men and women, called elders, who oversee the church and have responsibility for the spiritual oversight, governance and direction of the church. More details of the leadership team can be found on the next page.
